Matthew received his Master of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Human Kinetics degrees from the University of British Columbia. He began his career working at Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Centre, where he worked with a wide variety of athletes of all levels. Matthew has gone on to take specialty courses in orthopaedic and manipulative physiotherapy; he has also achieved certification in Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS)/ Functional Dry Needling (FDN). Matthew combines manual therapy, IMS/dry needling, exercise and education to ensure the best results for his clients. Matthew has a special interest in Shoulder, Knee and Ankle rehabilitation.
Growing up in North Delta, Matthew enjoys giving back to his community by both volunteering and participating in community events such as the Run for Life, Terry Fox Run, Delta Triathlon and Tour de Delta.
Matthew is committed to achieving the best functional outcomes for his clients. He has a strong desire to help improve people’s mobility and allow them to live their lives with fewer limitations.
As a former UBC Track and Cross Country varsity team member and Ironman triathlon competitor, Matthew continues to challenge himself athletically running and cycling on his days off. Matthew and his wife Kasandra have two young boys and enjoy spending time together outside as a family.
